We recently had the great pleasure of working with Jessica and her team of event coordinators from Green Lily Events in Houston.  Green Lily Events specializes in creating elegant event designs using nature’s elements that compliment the environment.  Here is an image of Jessica and her team in the Fun Booth.   We look forward to the opportunity of working with them again. :)

There is nothing like beautiful music to add to the ambiance of a beautiful wedding.  A good friend of ours Betty Lin is an accomplished classical musician who has received her Master’s Degree in Music Performance at the University of Texas Austin.   Betty has expertise in both cello and piano.   Not only is she amazing at her musical abilities, she is also kind and a pleasure to be around.   Betty can perform solo or as part of a  string quartet/quintet etc.  If you are looking for musicians for your wedding, I can’t recommend her enough.   Check out her web site for contact information:  http://www.bettylinmusic.com

During the reception of Julie and Justin’s totally awesome wedding last week, we had a “photobooth” station set up and it was a huge hit with all the guests!

Everyone had so much fun (us included) we figure most couples would love to have this at their wedding too.    If you are like most couples who would like to have pictures of your guests, this is a fun way to do it instead of the stale old tableshots or lineup.   Even you have already finalized on the contract for your 2008 wedding, the photobooth can be added as an option, with the exception of destination weddings.  As hard as we tried, we just can’t squeeze all the necessary equipment into a little suitcase.  :)   If you are intested, contact us for more details.

A few of our images from Erin and Jamie’s wedding in Villanova Pennsylvania will be featured as part of an editorial on unique spiritual rituals.  Jamie and Erin had an unique “tasting ceremony” for their wedding and we are happy the magazine decided to feature their unique ceremony.   If Brides Philadelphia magazine is available in your area, look for the article in the upcoming issue.

P.S. We had the exceptional pleasure working with Lynda Barness of I DO Wedding Consulting and we can’t say enough good things about her.  She is highly recommended if you are a prospective bride or groom looking for a wedding consultant.

John Prutch, or JP as we call him, together with Amy are the heart and soul behind AJ’s Studio. JP was recently interviewed by WedPix for a great article on creative wedding portraiture. JP offers his insightful tips on how to interact with couples to create beautiful portraits. The article also features insights from another friend Sergio Lopez, and the equally talented Quin Cheung from DQ Studios.
Although the article was intended for photographers, if you are reading this as a bride or groom, you may still find the article to be helpful as you prepare for you upcoming photography sessions. WedPix is a monthly online publication and a great resource on wedding photography for both couples and photographers.

I also want to give a quick shout out to Evrim Icoz for the great write up as the featured WedPix photographer this month. Congrats Evrim!
